Show your COUGAR PRIDE and donate to our fall fundraiser!
The annual Loma Vista Musical is one of our PTO’s most exciting programs. Each fall, Loma Vista PTO partners with a local children’s theater company to give students the opportunity to participate in a full musical production. The program is open to Loma Vista students in 3rd through 5th grade and includes approximately nine weeks and more than 40 hours of musical theater instruction led by theater professionals. Throughout the program, students have the opportunity to build their acting, singing, dancing, confidence, teamwork, and performance skills while working together to bring a full musical production to life.

Registration:
Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade are invited to register and audition for the annual musical. Participation is limited to the first 40 students who register. After registration is complete, families receive the materials their child will need to prepare for auditions.
Registration Status:
Registration is now CLOSED. All available spots have been filled.
Before Registering:
Participating in the musical is a commitment. Before registering, families should review the complete rehearsal, Tech Week, and performance schedule and discuss the time commitment with their child. Every cast member is important to the success of the show, and there are no understudies. Students are expected to be available for required rehearsals, Tech Week, and performances. Families should also review the Actor’s Contract with their child before committing to the production.

Suggested Tuition Donation:
The production of this play is not a fundraiser. Tuition donations and ticket sales subsidize the cost of this wonderful experience. A suggested donation of $200 per participant is requested to put towards the cost of production. There is a $20 deposit due at the time of registration. We will follow up with families regarding the remaining balance.
Monthly Payments & Scholarships:
Monthly payment arrangements and scholarship opportunities are available. Loma Vista PTO wants to encourage ALL students who are interested to participate in the musical, regardless of their ability to pay. For scholarship information, contact Musical Chair Carly Lawson at carlylawson1@gmail.com.
Loma Vista Actor's Contract/Commitment:
The Loma Vista PTO would like to provide a fun learning experience and a quality show led by skilled professionals. Every cast member plays an important role in making the musical successful. Because the program is run by volunteers, we ask all students and families to be responsible, respectful, and committed throughout the production. All participants and their parents/guardians are required to sign an Actor’s Contract agreeing to the program expectations. Students are expected to maintain good academic standing, attend all required rehearsals, Tech Week, and performances, arrive on time and prepared, practice their lines, music, and choreography, follow directions, and treat directors, volunteers, and fellow cast members with kindness and respect. Students who are sick should stay home and notify the musical team about their absence. A three-strike rule will be in effect for repeated behavior, attendance, or other contract violations. A student who receives three strikes will be asked to leave the production, their role may be reassigned, and donations will not be refunded. Please review these expectations with your child before committing to the musical.
